Are you ready to indulge in the Octoberfest festivities?  Let’s head over to the Germany pavilion and let the fun begin!

Explore the Germany Pavilion

The German pavilion at Epcot is located next to Italy. As you enter the pavilion, you will immediately feel like you have entered a German town. The square’s architecture is purposely created to represent different regions and eras in Germany.  As you explore the square, you will notice the statue of St. George and the Dragon, a replica of the one in Rothenburg ob der Tauber.  Small shops line the plaza and sell German goods such as cuckoo clocks, dolls, clothing, jewelry, and more. There are about six shops to choose from, and visiting each is recommended because they each have unique items to purchase.  You will notice a miniature train village as you browse through the Germany pavilion at Epcot. This outdoor train village was initially designed to be part of the Epcot Flower and Garden Festival but has remained a steady attraction due to its popularity.  A fun aspect of this pavilion is you will randomly see Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs characters walking around the plaza.

Biergarten Restaurant Décor

This festive restaurant makes you feel like you zoomed across the world and landed in a quaint German town ready to celebrate Oktoberfest. The décor in the restaurant is amazing and designed to look like a Bavarian village. It features a running watermill, facades, and a flag for every state in Germany.  The tables are long bench-style seating that makes you feel like you are part of the party. The stage is perfectly located so you can see the live entertainment that includes German folk music.  The food is set up buffet style and offers a wide range of popular German dishes, while the one-liter beer steins are always ready to fill your mug.

Review of the Cuisine at the Biergarten Restaurant

This restaurant serves lunch and dinner buffet style with various German foods. Here are some of the best dishes you must try when visiting the Biergarten Restaurant at Epcot.  Pretzel Rolls If you love the flavor of pretzels, you will enjoy these tasty rolls. They also complement many different foods served at the buffet, so make sure you always have one on your plate.  Bohnen Salat If you don’t speak German, the name of this salad sounds fancy, but it’s an assorted bean salad that exudes flavor and goes well with the various sausages offered at the buffet.  Rotisserie Chicken  This juicy rotisserie chicken is seasoned with secret ingredients that make it taste amazing! If you eat the chicken, take a few extra pieces than you normally would because this chicken is that good!  Potato Dumplings  These incredible dumplings come with a bread crumb butter that boosts this side dish to the top of the list of favorites. However, they are very filling, so make sure you save room for dessert.  Sausage Platter  This platter features German-style and seasoned sausage with grilled bratwurst. If you are looking for the perfect food to go with a nice cold German beer, it’s the sausage platter!  Smoked Pork  This pork dish is double smoked and super juicy. The flavors are mouthwatering, and the pork is served on sauerkraut.  Meat Patties  The meat patties have a unique flavor that makes you crave more, but the special red wine sauce makes this dish a must-try!  Spaetzle This spaetzle is the perfect texture, but what makes it great is its cheese spaetzle with glazed onions. The combination of the cheese and onion flavors creates the ideal foundation for meat dishes and beer.  Salmon  This salmon filet is flavorful and flakey, but the thing that makes it excellent is the delicious lemon dill cream sauce.  Pot Roast  This pot roast is so good it must have been marinated and slow-cooked for days. The secret seasoning on the pot roast makes this dish a must-try!

Desserts

If you have a sweet tooth, the dessert portion of the meal is where you will have the most fun. Check out these delicious desserts that passed the taste test.  Apple Strudel This warm and cozy dessert features freshly baked apple strudel topped with a special vanilla sauce and berry compote.  Bavarian Cheesecake If you love Bavarian cream, you will love this dessert. The cheesecake tastes like Bavarian cream and is topped with a delicious berry compote. The tasty cream brings out hidden flavors in the berries you don’t usually notice when eating the fruit alone.  One of the best things about the buffet-style dining experience at the Biergarten Restaurant is you have the chance to create the ultimate food and beer pairing experience.  The best beer options you need to try are the German Beer Flight, Warsteiner Dunkel, and Becks Pilsner. Remember that you must be 21 years or older and have proof of identification to enjoy the beer selection.

You can also enjoy a selection of wines, shots, and schnapps. One of the best ones to try is the Bärenjäger Honey & Bourbon.
