Explore the American Adventure Pavilion at Epcot

As you navigate the world showcase at Epcot, keep an eye out for the American Adventure Pavilion between Japan and Italy. As soon as you enter the pavilion, you will notice the sizeable Colonial-style building and a small house nearby, which is the home to Fife and Drum Tavern.  The main attraction in this pavilion is the American Adventure show. As you enter the attraction preshow area, you will notice a sizeable oval-shaped area in the center and a beautiful dome-shaped ceiling. The walls are lined with famous American quotes, including Charles Lindbergh and Walt Disney.  The Hall of Flags area displays different flags in U.S history and is lined along the path that leads you to the upstairs theater. Once you reach the upstairs lobby, you will see two memorable paintings depicting American life. As you enter the theater, you will see a total of 12 statues located on each side of the theater in groups of six.  There are a variety of paintings to see but keep your eye out for these special ones called Promise to American, Seeds of Hope, Westward Ho, and Defending Freedom.  The American Adventure attraction guides you on a trip through American History and is narrated by Mark Twain and Benjamin Franklin through audio-animatronic figures.  Next, navigate your way to the American Gardens outdoor amphitheater. It hosts bands, singers, and concerts from around the world.  One of the must-see experiences in the American Adventure pavilion is the candlelight processional. It only happens during the holiday season and features the retelling of the story about Christmas, classic holiday songs, an orchestra, and massed choir.  Any time of the year you decide to visit, make sure you stop by the Art of Disney Store. It’s filled with Disney character figurines, colorful paintings, and more! 

Fife and Drum Tavern Décor

A stop at the Fife and Drum Tavern is often quick, depending on the line. You walk up to the window, place your order and keep exploring. Most food and beverages are easy to carry and walk with while you enjoy the tasty treats.  If you prefer to sit and relax, you can find a spot on nearby benches and areas that offer a place to sit.  The décor o the exterior of the Fife and Drum Tavern is colonial-style red brick with a pointy roof. It complements the main attraction in the pavilion and is a popular place to grab a snack. 

Review of the Cuisine at Fife and Drum Tavern

The Fife and Drum Tavern is open for lunch and dinner and late into the evening on special event days. Here are some tasty treats you can pick up and enjoy. 

• Popcorn – This plant-based treat is available in a souvenir bucket or plain container. You can choose toppings for your popcorn and the bucket refill option if you plan to eat more later or have a large group of people sharing the popcorn. The souvenir style bucket changes throughout the year, and you can request to see the one available during your visit before deciding to place your order. 
• Jumbo Turkey Leg – As you explore Epcot, you will see people walking around chomping down on a giant turkey leg. The Fife and Drum Tavern is the place to get this delicious savory jumbo turkey leg. It keeps you full for quite a long time. A helpful tip is to ask for several napkins when placing your order. This incredible turkey leg tastes great but gets a bit messy. 
• Mickey Pretzel – This pretzel is shaped like Mickey Mouse and comes with a delicious cheese sauce for dunking. If you like cheese sauce, ask for two servings to indulge in this gooey and salty snack. 
• Hot Dog – A tasty hot dog on a bun served with chips. The best part of ordering a hot dog is the toppings that make it extra delicious. 
• Ice Cream in a Waffle Cone – Chocolate, vanilla, or swirl ice cream is served in a waffle cone. The flavors of the ice cream are rich and decadent. This ice cream cone is a great way to cool off the summer heat.

• Root Beer Float – This popular option combines root beer and vanilla ice cream. This classic float reminds you of something you would be able to order in the old-time soda shops in past. 
• American Dream – This colorful drink is a must try at least once. It contains vanilla ice cream, frozen wild cherry, and blue raspberry slush. The flavors create an outrageous experience for your taste buds. 
• Classic Slushy – The classic lemonade and wild cherry slushy tastes great, keeps you cool and is great for the kids.

The Tavern offers Blue Moon Belgian white ale, Samuel Adams seasonal, Bud Light lager draft, and Yuengling. A must-try beverage is the Frozen Red Stag lemonade that features red stag, black cherry bourbon, and frozen lemonade. Fife and Drum Tavern is an excellent place to stop for a quick bite.
