Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade is Magic Kingdom’s daytime parade, and it has been delighting guests since 2014. Bright, detailed floats celebrate films like The Little Mermaid, Tangled, Frozen, Peter Pan and Sleeping Beauty, each surrounded by dancers and characters. The star of the show is a huge steampunk dragon version of Maleficent that actually breathes fire as it rolls down the street.

Highlights
- Maleficent the dragon, who pauses to breathe real flames. You’ll feel the heat if you’re close.
- The Little Mermaid float, with Ariel perched on a huge shell and colorful sea creatures spinning around her.
- The Peter Pan pirate ship, complete with Captain Hook and the Lost Boys.
- Tangled and Frozen, featuring Rapunzel, Flynn, Anna, Elsa and Olaf.
Where to watch
- Frontierland sees the parade first and tends to have more open curb space.
- Main Street, U.S.A. has the classic view with the castle behind the floats but fills up early.
- Shade is limited. On hot days, look for spots near the covered walkways of Liberty Square or Main Street.
Tips
- Use parade time wisely. Rides in Fantasyland and Tomorrowland often have shorter waits while crowds line the route.
- Know the barriers. The parade route cuts across the park, so crossing between lands becomes harder shortly before it starts.
