What it Feels Like to Experience Reflections of China
The moment you enter the China pavilion, you will easily find your way to the Reflections of China attraction. The excitement builds as you enter to see this breathtaking country’s modern wonders and beauty. When you walk inside, the architecture and amazing colors from the ceiling to the floor catch your attention. Once you arrive inside, be prepared to stand up and lean against a railing during the exhibit. This attraction is in the dark to illuminate the panoramic screen that shows images as the narration explains the information. The background music is soothing and suits the pictures on the screen. The screens are huge, and the experience makes you feel like you are in China as you travel by boat through rivers, drive in busy traffic on the streets, observe the mountain landscape, and have lots more surprises. The food segment is especially interesting and sparks your appetite. You visit the wonders of China that provide spectacular views! After you experience the Reflections of China pavilion, plan to stay in the area for a while because it has excellent restaurants, architecture, gift shops, and more to enjoy. The Good Fortune Gifts shop is filled with tons of Chinese-inspired merchandise, such as hats, puppets, toys, costumes, clothing, and more. This shop has plenty to see, and it’s worth finding that extra special gift or souvenir. The House of Good Fortune shop is the place to shop for home goods such as tea sets, Buddha statues, wall prints, porcelain figurines, silk robes, and almost everything else you need to decorate your home. While browsing the area, you will come across live entertainment featuring the Dragon Legend Acrobats. They perform in the outdoor courtyard and are a must-see. The stunts they perform are incredible, so make sure you pay attention closely. This area is also excellent for meet and greets with your favorite Disney characters, such as Mulan, Captain Li Shang, and Mushu. You will build up an appetite browsing the pavilion. Make sure you indulge in the Chinese cuisine the area has to offer. It will help make your experience feel more authentic as you are surrounded by incredible architecture, décor, and music. If you are looking for a quick bite, visit the Lotus Blossom Café. This restaurant is counter service style and has a menu filled with favorite American-Chinese dishes. Favorites at this restaurant include Mongolian beef, orange chicken, pot stickers, fried rice, and egg rolls. However, if you are interested in a full-service gourmet dining experience, head to Nine Dragons restaurant. The menu features traditional Chinese dishes with a twist. This menu is a bit more extensive than the Lotus Blossom Café, so if you are looking forward to eating something special, Nine Dragons are the place for you! Some popular menu items include spring rolls, dumplings, duck fried rice, salt and pepper shrimp, tofu vegetable stir fry, honey sesame chicken, spare ribs, pepper beef, shrimp, and more.
