Space 220 Restaurant Décor
As you approach the Space 220 restaurant at Epcot, you will notice the sign that includes blue earth. As you take a closer look, you will begin to feel like you are entering a different world with planets swirling around under the blue or night sky, depending on what time of day you visit the restaurant.
As you stand online waiting to be called for your reservation, you will get to view the menu of delicious food you are about to enjoy. When you walk inside, the lights are dim, and there are a lot of blue-illuminated areas in the lobby.
You are escorted to your seat and given your space elevator boarding pass, which is great to keep as a souvenir. The music in the lobby area sounds futuristic and creates an outer-space vibe.
You then walk into the elevator area and hear voices over the speakers, getting you ready for the ride. When you lift off, you will be able to look down the center of the ride, and it feels like you are in a spaceship blasting into outer space as you leave earth and the state of Florida behind.
When the elevator doors open, you are directed toward the restaurant. The corridor and space-themed technology are incredible and so exciting. You will be shown to your table as you enter the dining room.
The first thing you will notice is the large windows that show a vision of the earth. This view can be seen from every table in the dining area, and it truly makes you feel like you have been transported to space!
While dining, keep a close eye on the windows because you will see fascinating things floating around in space, such as debris, spaceships, planets, stars, and a surprise that will remain a secret for now.
