Test Track Ride Rules

  • You need to stand 40” inches or taller to ride this attraction.
  • This attraction is ideal for kids, teens, and adults.
  • This attraction is a thrill ride that features speeds up to 65 mph, 50-degree angles, climbs up to three stories high, tiny drops, dips, and slight turbulence on the track.

Waiting with Anticipation

While waiting in line, you will enjoy passing by two concept cars. One is the Chevrolet EN-V and the other the Chevrolet Miray. There is also a small model car that a Chevrolet employee describes the details during the design process.

Once you get past the concept cars, you reach the area where you can take tutorials on designing a car using large touch screens. As you reach the front of the line, you can use your park ticket, MagicBand, or ask for a white RFID card referred to as a design key to design your own concept car tested on the track.

Your concept car will be tested on efficiency, capability, power, and responsiveness during the ride. Don’t forget to get the results after the ride to see how your custom-designed car does on the test track.

Riding Test Track

If you love cars, you will love the Test Track. It makes you feel like you are in charge of test driving a car in various weather conditions and situations to ensure it’s safe for the streets.

Buckle up and get comfortable as soon as you get in the car with your co-riders. This ride starts in the dark with lights strategically placed so you can slightly see what is happening. The lights make it futuristic and exciting.

At first, you will feel like the ride is no big deal while you are on the inside of the ride, but as soon as you shoot out to the roller coaster style outdoor portion of the ride, that’s where the thrill begins. The car speeds up to 65 mph but feels faster; and it accelerates on straight paths, and the car hugs turns at high speeds.

Some three-story climbs and releases are awesome to experience. The entire family will have a blast riding this attraction day and night.

You need to ride this attraction in the daylight and then again at night to experience the full rush of the ride. The daytime boosts sunshine during the outdoor portion of the ride and makes things exciting as the air pushes against your face.

The nighttime ride is mysterious and feels more adventurous because everything is dark the entire ride from the inside and outdoor portions. However, once you reach the outdoor part of the ride at night, it’s awesome because you see all the lights from afar that make Epcot so special. It’s especially fun to ride it during the fireworks or light show display.

Scare Factor

This thrilling ride has a medium scare factor. It has exciting parts, high speeds, twists, and turns, and it’s quite exciting. It is a favorite of guests looking for a thrill ride without feeling like they are on a roller coaster. However, keep in mind it is one of the fastest Disney theme park attractions ever built due to reaching the high speed of 65 mph.

What to Look for at the Test Track

Always be on the lookout for hidden Mickey’s throughout Epcot, but you will also notice World of Motion logos on the main sign, murals, and trash bins for this attraction. The World of Motion logos is a sweet reminder of the old attraction at the exact location.

Post Show

You can use your ticket, design key, or MagicBand to view the scores from your ride. You can also create an ad in the Chevrolet Showroom, check out new car models, and take virtual pictures. There is also a gift shop near the exit where you can pick up Disney-themed items.
