Get ready to glide through the air as you go Soarin Around the World in this exciting adventure! Feel the breeze against your face as you hang glide above the wonders of the world. This must be what it’s like to fly like a bird and feel free. Let’s head over to World Nature at Epcot to learn more about this fantastic attraction!

The Rules

  • You need to stand 40″ inches or taller to ride this attraction. 
  • This attraction is best suited for kids, teens, and adults. 
  • This attraction features small drops and is considered a slow ride. 

Waiting with Anticipation

As you wait in line to board this attraction, you will be directed through the lobby area and queue line as you are greeted by Disney cast members. The walkway is quite long to reach the area to ride the attraction. However, the line is mostly indoors, which is great, especially on rainy days. 

As you approach the Soarin entrance to board, the lights get darker and more mysterious. The blue lights light up the pathway, and railings line the path. You will notice it’s a long walk indoors, but you get to sit down in the Soarin seats once you reach the destination. 

Tip: Use the flashlight from your cell phone to brighten the pathway. 

Riding Soarin Around the World

Take a seat and buckle up for the ride. You will be instructed to store your personal items under your seat, including your Mickey’s ears. They also have special seatbelt loops for small children that reach the height requirements. 

Take-off starts, and your adventure begins as you glide above the clouds, mountains, icebergs, monuments of the world, castles, wild animals in their natural habitats, countries, and more. 

This flying fantasy indulges all of your senses, including the aroma of flowers, wind against your skin, and other surprises. At one point, you feel like you are flying through fireworks over Epcot. However, there are surprises, and the scenery can change during your visit. 

Scare Factor

This attraction has a very low scare factor. However, if you are afraid of heights or get motion sickness, it’s best not ride this attraction. 

Post Show

There is a long walk to leave the attraction, but once you do, you are greeted with the aroma of delicious food from the Garden Grill Restaurant. This family-style dining option offers farm-fresh food and tasty dishes that spark your appetite. There is a flat rate for children and adults when dining at this restaurant. Inquire further about the pricing when you decide on the day you visit Epcot.

The Garden Grill Restaurant at Epcot is just one of the delicious options near the Soarin Around the World attraction. It’s a guest favorite, so check it out at least once. It features kids and adult menu and serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. 

Sunshine Seasons is another fun place to get a bite of delicious food that uses the produce grown at the Living with the Land pavilion.

Soarin Around the World is located in the Land Pavilion at Epcot. This impressive pavilion home to Soarin also has a gentle ride called Living with the Land. This relaxing boat ride brings you through indoor plant-growing areas. 

Living with the Land attraction is like a bonus to Soarin if you are interested in growing food in greenhouses. On this peaceful ride, experimental growing areas you will see include rice crops, sugar cane, bananas, cacao, peanuts, fish, lettuce, peppers, tomatoes, vegetables, and more. 

What sets this greenhouse apart from the rest is the imaginative ways the crops are grown. Most are grown without soil and in a hanging position. Some of the vegetables can grow hanging in the air while in the space station. 

USDA scientists are constantly developing new ideas, such as fruit that will have a longer shelf life. This bonus attraction is an excellent way to learn how food is grown and teach children to use their creativity when gardening and growing food. 

Soarin Around the World at Epcot is a family-friendly ride inspired by world travel and many wonders around the globe. It makes you feel free as you fly over exquisite scenery, animals, and more. A whale jumps out of the water right in front of you at one point. It’s an exciting and beautiful ride that you will remember forever.
