What it Feels Like to Ride Muppet Vision 3D
As you stand in line for this fun attraction, you will notice small hidden details such as eyeballs attached to light fixtures, vents, pipes, and more. You stand in line outdoors most of the time, but the pathway has a roof, lighting, and ceiling fans to help keep the wait as comfortable as possible.
There are also movie posters along the wall with Muppet characters as the main actors. For example, one of the movie posters is Star Chores instead of Star Wars. The pictures on the posters are humorous and fun to take photos in front of while you wait in line.
As you make your way inside, you will enter Stage 3 and walk along a hallway with large pictures of your favorite Muppet characters. Soon you will be directed to get your 3D glasses and to wait a bit longer as you get closer to riding the attraction.
The great thing is that plenty of entertainment keeps you busy while your excitement builds. Pay attention to the characters on the screens because they give you instructions about the adventure that is about to begin!
After a pretty long but entertaining introduction to the ride, you are finally able to enter the theater and find a good seat. The décor in the theater is beautiful and classic, with red seats and a giant red curtain on the stage.
The show begins quickly, and it’s time to put your 3D glasses on and have some fun! Sit back and relax as the Muppets entertain you!
As you can already tell, this attraction is watching a short movie in a beautiful theater with all your favorite Muppet characters, including Kermit, Fozzie, Gonzo, and Miss. Piggy and more!
The theater is cozy, comfortable, and relaxing. It’s great for the entire family and a welcomed delight. The 3D effects are extraordinary; at one point, you think tiny bubbles are floating in the theater.
A fun surprise is one of the Muppet characters is live in the theater at one point and interacts with the screen and others. There are even fireworks, so look up at the ceiling and the screen during this moment.
Pay attention until the very end because there is a cute surprise!
Scare Factor
The scare factor on this ride is low. You remain seated in theater-style seating throughout the entire ride. However, young children who are sensitive to loud noise or a dark room might feel scared.
Post Show
As you leave the theater, you will exit and end up back in the park in the Grand Avenue area, where lots more fun is waiting for you! One of the best things in this area is the restaurants.
Mama Melrose’s Ristorante Italiano is an excellent place to sit, relax and enjoy delicious food! The fried mozzarella, shrimp campanelle, and Tiramisu are unique, so make sure to try them during your visit. There are also plenty of other excellent options on the menu that will surely make you happy.
PizzeRizzo features the Muppet Rizzo and is a great place to stop and get pizza, antipasto salad, meatball sub sandwich, and more! So, if you love pizza, make sure you head over to this fun and delicious restaurant!
The BaseLine Tap House is a fun pub with a menu filled with California wines and brews to enjoy!
As you walk around on Grand Avenue you will find yourself in Muppets courtyard! When you see a large Miss Piggy water fountain where she is dressed at the Statue of Liberty, you know you have arrived!
This fun fountain has running water and is the perfect place to toss a coin and make a wish. A wide cement ledge surrounding the fountain provides an excellent spot to sit and relax.
The Grand Avenue area of the park is usually busy so take your time strolling through the streets. Keep an eye out for Disney characters such as Chip n’ Dale that like to hang out in this area to meet and greet visitors.
You will notice the sizeable PizzeRizzo sign and the two-story dining area as you enjoy the fountain. You can also smell the delicious pizza that makes you want to rush over and place your order.
This quaint area of the avenue is colorful, beautiful, and fun. If you love Italian food, there are two amazing restaurants you need to try! On beautiful weather, day make sure you take a seat outside to enjoy your meal. There are tables with umbrellas in front of PizzeRizzo so that you can find a great seat!
This avenue also has cute shops with excellent backgrounds for picture taking and buying souvenirs.
Muppet Vision 3D is a fun attraction the entire family will love. You enter into the world of the Muppets and enjoy every funny bit of the journey. The lines are a bit long but if you plan to go on the ride in the evening or early morning, standing outside in line during the summer is tolerable. If you visit during winter, any time of the day is excellent!
