Coral Reef Restaurant

Do you love seafood and want to indulge in the best Epcot offers? If so, you need to head to the Coral Reef Restaurant at Epcot. This dining experience offers table service and a menu filled with seafood and American-inspired dishes. It’s important to know you need to set up a dining reservation and have valid admission to the Epcot theme park.

Let the fun begin, and head over to the Coral Reef Restaurant!

Explore the World Nature area at Epcot

The restaurant is located in the World Nature area near the popular attraction “The Seas with Nemo & Friends.” This area is dedicated to providing an aquatic experience everywhere you look. You can hear the splashing of water from outside the attraction and smell the scent of delicious seafood cooking from the restaurant.

As you get caught up in the excitement of the fabulous Florida weather during the day or the mysterious after-sunset vibe, this restaurant will fulfill your seafood cravings beyond your imagination.

Ocean Inspired Restaurant Décor

You are automatically transported to an under-the-sea oasis as you walk into the restaurant. There are huge windows that reveal a vast cobalt blue aquarium that holds 5.7 million gallons of seawater and wraps around the restaurant’s main wall.

There is plenty of sea life, such as fish, sharks, and other species swimming around man-made reefs. If you want a close-up view of the aquarium while dining, request a tank table when making your reservation. It’s something you have to experience at least one time during your visit.

Review of the Coral Reef Restaurant Cuisine

Let’s start this dining experience with a cocktail! There are plenty to choose from, and they also offer non-alcoholic mocktails that are equally as vibrant to look at and tasty.

Cocktails

The Abyss is the restaurant’s signature alcoholic cocktail with Bacardi Superior Rum, Svedka Vodka, pineapple juice, and Blue Curacao. The drink’s look complements the restaurant’s décor but is also the perfect mixture that boosts your mood.

The mocktails are equally as beautiful and are often a combination of fruit juices that spark your taste buds. A popular option to try is the Watermelon Lemonade cocktail. While this might sound like a children’s juice drink, it has adult vibes. It’s served in a cocktail glass and has a combination of watermelon and lemonade that doesn’t make you miss the alcohol. It’s the perfect drink to get the dining experience started!

Appetizers

The New England Clam Chowder appetizer is an excellent choice to start your seafood adventure. The chowder includes tasty ingredients such as baby clams, potatoes, cream, and applewood-smoked bacon. The chowder is everything you expect from a standard New England Clam Chowder, but the extra special zing is the applewood-smoked bacon. It infuses the chowder in a way that allows you to enjoy the smoky flavor and the rich taste of the baby clams. Every bite is amazing!

Entrees

There is a wide range of entrees to try. The great thing about this restaurant is they offer something for everyone. While you might be there for a seafood experience, your family and friends can enjoy prime rib, Cajun chicken pasta, and plant-based options.

Slow-Roasted Prime Rib

For those not in the mood for seafood, you can indulge in the scrumptious 10-oz slow-roasted prime rib. This juicy and flavorful dish also features loaded mashed potatoes, Bercy butter, and bacon.

Shrimp and Grits

If you love shrimp, you need to try this twist on the South’s famous dish, Shrimp and Grits! This dish includes grits infused with cheddar cheese, corn succotash, andouille sausage, and sautéed shrimp. The extra unique pop this dish offers is the flavor of Creole spice. Dig into this hearty and flavorful dish but don’t forget to save room for dessert!

Grilled Vegetable Skewer

Do you follow a plant-based diet? If so, this restaurant has you covered! While a grilled vegetable skewer might sound boring when you read it on a menu, it is excellent. This dish features lentil rice, plant-based Kefta, and a tasty eggplant spread. The lentil rice is filling and works well with the other ingredients in the dish.

Cajun Chicken Pasta

This allergy-friendly entrée is a delight and a relief for those who suffer from shellfish, fish, soy, tree nut, and peanut allergies. You can dig into this flavorful dish with gusto and set your allergy fears aside. This dish includes Cajun-spiced pulled chicken, roasted mushrooms, peppers, onions, and a wonderful parmesan cream sauce!

Note: This restaurant has other allergy-friendly entrees, desserts, and a kid’s menu. This is impressive to be able to dine in a seafood-based restaurant and safely eat tasty dishes that are specially created if you are allergic to shellfish, fish, and other common food allergens.

Desserts

Key Lime Tart

This refreshing, mouthwatering dessert features key lime, toasted meringue, chocolate garnish, sprinkles, and the famous EARidescent shimmer to bring the entire dessert to life.

Baileys Almande and Jack Daniel’s Mousse

If you are looking for a bit of liquor in your dessert, you must try the rich and decadent Baileys Almande and Jack Daniel’s Mousse. This amazing dessert features chocolate ganache, candied almonds, and the perfect amount of alcohol. Another great thing about this dessert is it’s also plant-based and an excellent option to share among friends and family.

Overall, the Coral Reef Restaurant at Epcot provides an incredible experience based on sea life. The ambiance is soothing, captivating, and welcoming. The dim lighting creates a cozy atmosphere that encourages you to slow down and enjoy every bite of your meal. If you want to be adventurous when choosing from the menu, ask the server what they recommend or choose the most popular items.
